Dear Mr. Yuji Suzuki DG of NFUAJ ,
Dear colleagues of the clubs in Japan,
As a normal citizen of this world existing in the 3rd millennium and as a worker in the UNESCO system for over 30 years, I can only gather my strength together with my colleagues from the Romanian federation and hope that we can with our limited forces bring little relief to children, women, and the elderly in the neighboring life-torn war , which began more than two weeks ago.
Immediately after the beginning of the bombing of the neighboring country, Ukraine, which has in its composition a strong Romanian minority, from thousands of km I received a call from you, the Japanese federation. The humanity of your members and the gesture of providing assistance to Ukrainian refugees are in line with the sign of GOOD for this planet so tried in recent years.
We owe it to ourselves to polish around us under the rule of beautiful thoughts and the smiles of children and grandparents examples of good help, trust, tolerance so that in our ears we no longer hear the rumble of weapons bringing suffering and pain.
In the name of those who run with children in their arms, leaving a house and a life behind them, I thank you and I assure you that the goodness of your gesture is now on Ukrainian soil with them.
