Serban Drăgoescu in private collections
Disappearance in 11 June 2013 of Serban Drăgoescu (n. 1943) arts world grieved she was regarded as one of the most daring artists and also works solidly grounded. It has been affirmed internationally from an early age, in 1973 having the first personal exhibition in Sweden, again in 1977 receiving the Diploma of Honor at the Quadrennial of Decorative Art in Erfurt. Until the year of his disappearance, she continued to create in the same innovative spirit, surprising the connoisseurs with her endless artistic resources.
Club Romania – UNESCO, whose beloved member was alongside names like Nicolae Herlea, David Ohanesian, Gheorghe Buzatu, Felicia Melescanu, Laurenciiu Ulici, Marcel Gugianu, wishes that this exhibition will pay him a tribute on the occasion of his own anniversary of 20 years of serving the noble ideals of UNESCO.
The exhibition included works of tapestry, Textile Print, painting, graphics, woodcut and book-object, that are part of the collections of the artist's close.
The opening will take place on Tuesday, 10 June, now 13, in the foyer of “Lena Constante” National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti”, No Soseaua Kiseleff. 30, Bucharest.
