On 24 August ended international conference “Global Ethics – Save the Planet Earth“, Khazahstan the capital - Astana, event was attended by the most important personalities among which UNESCO: Irina Bokova - General UNESCO, George Chrisophides – President of the World Federation of Associations, Centres and Clubs for UNESCO, Bolat Akchulakov - President of the Federation of Associations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Centres and Clubs for UNESCO and Imangali Tasmagambetov - President of the Republic of Kazakhstan National Commission for UNESCO. The event launched the "Decade closeness between cultures 2012 -2022 ".
Romanian delegation that represented us in Astana was composed of Dr.. Daniela Popescu, President of the European Federation of Associations, Centres and Clubs for UNESCO and youth sector representative 2 the capital, Claudiu Marius Pascovici, President of the European Association "Youth for the Future" and member of the UNESCO Club Alumnus R.
The main advantage of the country's recognition at the conference was the presentation of an innovative document,created for young people - Passport for Global ETHICS - An efficient tool for the younger generation, a symbol of the values that UNESCO seeks to provide young people through various programs and platforms that support intercultural dialogue. This paper proposed and initiated by our country Alumnus Club, was a success, this initiative was agreed by all parties to the UNESCO clubs around the world, proposing that it be implemented worldwide. UNESCO Director General, Ms. Irina Bokova, thanked Romania for the initiative.
Simultaneously, sent our young officials UNESCO representative, officials of the Republic of Kazakhstan, civil society and the business environment at the event, Message youth in Romania and Europe, pointing out that the new generation wants a competitive environment, Open Society, correct the tolerance and respect for human rights are fundamental values to be observed unequivocally.
