At the headquarters of the National Commission for UNESCO was held Tuesday, 27 March 2018, The consultation meeting with the representatives of the national minorities within the project Future Folk.
The agenda included the presentation of the project, proposals for cooperation during the course of its, Further project opportunities, discussion of results expected, who also come to meet all minorities to enhance their own cultural heritage. Simultaneously, Other project proposals have been presented.
At this meeting I was honored by the presence of Mr. Deputies Dragoș Zisopol (The Greek Union of Romania), Slobodan Giureci Ghera (Croatian Union in Romania), and by the presence of ladies Christianne Gertrud Cosmatu (Undersecretary of State within the Department for Interethnic Relations, Government of Romania) and Aurora Caravasile (Superior counselor within the Ministry of Culture and National Identity).
Responded to our invitation and the following minorities : The party of the pro-European Roma, Communion of Lipovan Russians in Romania, The Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania, Hungarian Democratic Union in Romania, The Turkish Democratic Union in Romania, Union of Poles in Romania, The Union of Serbs in Romania and the Union of Ukrainians in Romania. Other partner institutions present at the meeting were : TVR, RADIO ROMANIA ACTRIETITIES, Burda-Romania group.
Project Future Folk , Presented by Mrs. Daniela Popescu and Rodica Precupetu, It has as a general objective the promotion and revitalization of the immaterial cultural heritage of Romania, to enhance an essential piece of it – The traditional costume. Starting from the old form, authentic costume, kept in communities and museums, The project will create a modern clothing collection, novel, By reinterpreting these costumes in the spirit of contemporary design. The originality of the initiative is that the emphasis will be placed on the costs specific to the national minorities, Next to the Romanian costumes, The first stage (2018) to mainly cover the Bucharest and southern country area. The project also aims to contribute to : Facilitating dialogue between the majority and national minorities ; Culture strengthening of the unity and cohesion of the Romanian society ; Promoting Romania's multicultural heritage in the country and abroad.
Future Folk is dedicated Centenary of the Union of 1918 and will also contribute to the development in Romania of the program 2018 - European Year for Cultural Heritage, promoted by the European Commission.
