Participation during 20-22 January 2017, Annual Meeting of the Romanian Federation of Associations members, Centres and Clubs for UNESCO (FRACCU) in the event "Days of UNESCO Clubs in Romania".

Organized into National Culture Day, Days opening of UNESCO Clubs in Romania took place at the Cultural Centre for UNESCO “romantic city” Mumbai. The event was honored by local authorities, domnii Antonel Jîjîie – Prefect of Dambovita, Alexandru Oprea – Dambovita County Council President Daniel Cristian Stan – Mayor of Targoviste.

In this event, representatives Associations, UNESCO Clubs and Centres that are part of FRACU presented their activities in the period 2016, as well as projects for the year 2017.

Also at this event, Cultural Centre for UNESCO "Romantic City" was received in Targoviste Romanian Federation of Associations, Cluburilor și Centrelor pentru UNESCO (FRACCU), the second is, too, and organizers meeting in Targoviste.

On this occasion Mrs. Daniela Popescu, preşedintele EFUCA și al Asciatiei Alumnus Club pentru UNESCO a declarat că : „Suntem onoraţi să devenim partenerii dumneavoastră şi vă mărturisesc şi afirm cu tărie că vom încerca să facem din Târgovişte un oraş foarte apropiat Bucureştiului. I greatly admire all that you have done within Romanian museology. Reamintesc faptul că în urma discuțiilor purtate cu ÎPS Nifon, Arhiepiscopul şi Mitropolitul Târgoviştei, vom organiza aici, în septembrie-octombrie, un eveniment mare, pentru prima dată internaţional: «Artă şi civilizaţie în spaţiile monahale româneşti». Totodată ne-ar face plăcere ca în anul 2018 să organizăm în acest minunat oraș, în cadrul Muzeului Romanței, Conferinţa Internaţională «Tineretul şi Muzeele».

During the event participants visited the museum monumental ensemble of the Royal Court, Muzeul Tiparului și Cărții Vechi Românești, Muzeul Scriitorilor Damboviteni si la Muzeul de Arta din Targoviste, Stelea Monastery and the Monastery Dealu, două bijuterii ale ortodoxismului românesc. Delegația a fost primită cu multă căldură, iar gazdele, impecabile ca de obicei, au oferit oaspeților pachete cu suveniruri. La Mănăstirea Dealu, Președintele Daniela Popescu, a oferit Arhiepiscopiei Târgoviștei o înaltă distincție din partea FEACU UNESCO, subliniind în mod deosebit colaborarea excepțională cu ÎPS Nifon.

WHAT IS ALUMNUS ?

Alumnus Club is an organization created in the year 2000, that gathers for more than a decade and a half members from 10 countries.
Alumnus Club is part of the Romanian federation of UNESCO Associations and Clubs, and implicitly of the World and European Federations for UNESCO. The club is formed mainly by young students, and its aim is to offer its members the opportunity to get involved in projects aimed at developing their experience in the selected field of study.
Through its UNESCO affiliation, the Alumnus Club has access to an important network of information regarding the activities developed in domains such as education, science, culture and communication.
The main purpose of the organization is that of training young people in a multicultural manner, through projects that aim at involving them in activities that encourage their personal initiative and experience gaining.
In 20 years of activity, Alumnus Club has offered its members and the participants in its events the occasion to engage in educational, scientific, cultural and communication projects.
Below, you may find a non exhaustive list of annual events: Metamorphoses, Youth and Museums, Art and Civilization in Monastic Spaces, Magellan and the new project developed under the auspices of the Alliance of Civilizations: Bucharest retrieved, the concerts of the National Chamber Choir Madrigal.

ALUMNUS Club was founded in 2000 and consists of young people across the 10 countries.
The Alumnus Club is part of the Romanian Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO.
The club wants to offer its members opportunities to become involved in educational projects, Scientific, cultural and communication.
ALUMNUS Club aims to prepare young people in a multicultural spirit and to involve them in activities that help them in personal and professional development.
