Between 27 august – 3 September 2018, Greek Foreign Ministry in cooperation with the Commission for UNESCO of Greece, organize intercultural youth summer camp, which will take place in Halkidiki .
The camp aims to promote intercultural dialogue, close civilizations, Culture and Sports, the development tools that combat social exclusion .
In addition, This event aims to establish exchanges of opinion among youth , encouraging a better understanding of the problems of modern society , such as peace , Human Rights , diversitatea culturală , equality and sustainable development, all being among the priority areas UNESCO.
Participating in this program young people aged between 12 one 16 years : Greece , Romania , Cyprus , Croatia , Serbia , Albania , Montenegro , Bosnia and Herzegovina , Slovenia Bulgaria. The Romanian delegation consists of 14 children and is headed by Mrs. prof. Cecilia Smith .
The theme this year is ” Environmental education and climate change ” .

The Greek Foreign Minister, in collaboration with UNESCO Commission of Greece , organizes between August 27th and September 3rd, 2018 , the The Intercultural Youth Summer Camp which will take place in Halkidiki.
The youth summer camp aims to promote intercultural dialogue, rapprochement of civilizations and the dissemination of education, sciences, culture and sport as developmental tools that combat social exclusion, while safeguarding peace. Moreover, it aims to establish a network of exchange, among youth from the Balkan countries, encouraging deeper understanding on issues pertinent to modern societies such as peace, human rights, cultural diversity, gender equality and sustainable development, which lie at the heart of UNESCO’s priorities.
Boys and girls aged between 12 and 15 years old, from Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Slovenia can participate in this program. The Romanian delegation consists of 14 children led by Prof. Cecilia Smith.
The theme of this year’s camp is “Environmental Education and Climate Change”.
