Located at the a-XIV- of the edition, International Conference "Youth and Museums”, project organized year after year by the Alumnus Club for UNESCO under the patronage of the Romanian Commission for UNESCO and the European Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO, was held on Saturday, 22 October 2022 Targoviste.

This year, the City Hall and the Local Council of the Municipality of Târgoviște joined us in making the conference, Dâmbovița County Council, The "Tony Bulandra" Theater in Târgoviște and the "Curtea Domnească" National Museum Complex in Târgoviște, together with the Cultural Association "Cetatea Romanței" Târgoviște.

This time the host was the elegant "House of Romance" Museum in Târgoviște, edifice whose rooms are charged with the fascinating and sensitive history of Romance.

This year's theme was: "Anniversary of 50 years since the adoption of the Convention for the Protection of World Heritage, Cultural and Natural 1972-2022".

During the conference, representatives from Romania, Franta, Ukraine, Greece, they presented consistent works, with substantial value for the theme of the event.

International Conference "Youth and Museums” brought together leading specialists in the fields of culture and heritage from the country and abroad; Thus we enjoyed the presence

  • Mr. Alexandre Navarro, Secretary General of the French National Commission for UNESCO,
  • Mr. Jacques Rao, advisor within this institution,
  • Mrs. Madlen Şerban, general secretary of the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO,
  • Mrs. Gabriela Nedelcu-Păsărin, prof. univ. dr. habil. - the president of the National Commission for Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture,
  • Yaniss Maronittis – President of "Action Art" in Greece, member of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO,
  • Florence Bailleul and Didier Maréchal – founding members of the French performance company "Crea"..

Along with the participants in the conference proceedings, the event was also honored by the participation of numerous personalities present at the "Golden Chrysanthemum" National Festival: the master composers of international stature Eugen Doga and, respectively, Sabin Pautza, the director of the "Serghei Lunchevici" National Philharmonic from Chisinau - Svetlana Bivol and the conductor of the "Folklor" Orchestra from this institution, master Petre Neamțu, artist of the people, as well as the mayor of Zlatna, ardent promoter of Romance in the heart of the Westerners - Silviu Ponoran.

In the evening, the participants attended the "Laureates' Gala" of the "Golden Chrysanthemum" festival.

The awarding of prizes was carried out by the two general secretaries of the Romanian and French Commissions, along with the festival juries.

WHAT IS ALUMNUS ?

Alumnus Club is an organization created in the year 2000, that gathers for more than a decade and a half members from 10 countries.
Alumnus Club is part of the Romanian federation of UNESCO Associations and Clubs, and implicitly of the World and European Federations for UNESCO. The club is formed mainly by young students, and its aim is to offer its members the opportunity to get involved in projects aimed at developing their experience in the selected field of study.
Through its UNESCO affiliation, the Alumnus Club has access to an important network of information regarding the activities developed in domains such as education, science, culture and communication.
The main purpose of the organization is that of training young people in a multicultural manner, through projects that aim at involving them in activities that encourage their personal initiative and experience gaining.
In 20 years of activity, Alumnus Club has offered its members and the participants in its events the occasion to engage in educational, scientific, cultural and communication projects.
Below, you may find a non exhaustive list of annual events: Metamorphoses, Youth and Museums, Art and Civilization in Monastic Spaces, Magellan and the new project developed under the auspices of the Alliance of Civilizations: Bucharest retrieved, the concerts of the National Chamber Choir Madrigal.

ALUMNUS Club was founded in 2000 and consists of young people across the 10 countries.
The Alumnus Club is part of the Romanian Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO.
The club wants to offer its members opportunities to become involved in educational projects, Scientific, cultural and communication.
ALUMNUS Club aims to prepare young people in a multicultural spirit and to involve them in activities that help them in personal and professional development.
