Dimitrie Cantemir (1673-1723) is the most important Romanian humanist thinker and also author of the first Romanian original philosophical writings. The versatility concerns, by combining science with artistic creation, the unity of the creator of culture and man of action Dimitrie Cantemir (1673-1723) reminiscent of Renaissance titans, thinking and work, crossing distance from scholasticism to humanism and modern European science, embodying the synthesis of Eastern culture and the West.
Organized under the program “Alliance of Civilisations” exhibition is a tribute to the great ruler and man of culture Dimitrie Cantemir, Now when we celebrate 300 years since they were written forefront of his wonderful works : History of the Growth and Decay of the Ottoman Empire (1714-1716) and Descriptio Moldaviae (1714-1716).
The exhibition includes 16 works (50 x 50 cm) in mixed technique (collages 3 D made of paper, textile material, băzută brass instruments muyicale) by the famous architect from Mugur Kreiss.Pornind famous portrait prince and scholar, artist suggests many facets of his personality Dimitrie Cantemir to show off its encyclopedic personality.
