On 01.04.2022, The Club for UNESCO in Piraeus and the Islands and the Alumnus Club for UNESCO organized under the patronage of the European Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO a round table on the occasion of the opening of the virtual exhibition dedicated to International Women's Day, eveniment la care au luat parte online artiștii ale căror lucrări au fost prezente în expoziție.

Evenimentul s-a bucurat de o numeroasă participare internațională. Representatives from Italy, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Grecia și România au pregătit și prezentat lucrări artistice dedicate femeii.

Discuțiile purtate în cadrul mesei rotunde, pe lângă declarațiile emoționante ale artiștilor cu privire la operele prezentate, au amintit de realizările sociale, politicile și condițiile economice ale femeilor, dar și de lupta împotriva discriminării și violenței.

România a fost reprezentată de către organizațiile „Alumnus Club”, „Rădăcini Străbune”, „Cetatea Romanței”, „Elite Art Club”.

Alumnus Club pentru UNESCO a fost reprezentat de către Eliza Vasilescu, elevă la colegiul Tudor Vianu cu lucrarea „Attitude reflection” care sugerează egalitatea între femei, whatever the age, cultură și rasă.

Proiectul a avut în vedere susținerea educației culturale în rândul tinerilor, educarea publicului nefamiliarizat cu activitățile UNESCO, în vederea dezvoltării capacității de socializare și colaborare internațională.

Alumnus Club present at the world meeting of Clubs with UNESCO and National Commissions

On 4 December, 2024, UNESCO organized an online meeting between UNESCO Commissions and UNESCO Clubs and Associations.
The meeting was very well received, taking into account the very large number of participants, fish 200 by non-governmental organizations and national commissions.

In the presentation made by Mrs. Daniela Popescu, president of the Alumnus Club, regarding the Romanian Federation, it was mentioned that there is a new leadership, a new Steering Committee, which is led by a personality of Romanian music: lady Alina Mavrodin Vasiliu.
Romanian organizations were also reviewed, who have been and are active in FRACU and who are preparing large-scale events on an international level.

It was also emphasized that in those 25 for years of activity of the Romanian federation, the UNESCO events took place in good collaboration with the Romanian Commission.

They were also reviewed 3-4 world youth events, organized this year by the Kazakhstan federation, where the Alumnus Club sent its participants.

Alumni Club go celebrate in 2025, 25 years of uninterrupted activity among young people. I would not be able to review the hundreds of organized events; I would like to stop now only on the recent ones, events organized by the World Federation, with the participation of the representatives of the national federations. Between 12 – 14 august 2024, The Alumnus Club through medical student Rares Lile was present in Almaty, KAZAKHSTAN, where the 3rd edition of the International UNESCO Model took place with the theme "Ethics of using artificial intelligence in education", event organized by WFUCA in cooperation with the National Federation of Kazakhstan
Our colleague participated in this educational event, where participants play the role of representatives of UNESCO member states, simulating meetings that take place within the organization.

Pic2 The project co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN), it was a novel initiative to bring theater and painting together, through some workshops that were held within SOS Children's Villages Cisnădie, an institution that provides parental support to children.
A few weeks ago, the prize-giving ceremony of the International Youth Festival "Planet Artei - 2024" took place at the Unesco headquarters., dedicated to UNESCO World Heritage . National Federation of Clubs of Kazakhstan for UNESCO, in partnership with the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations were the hosts of this great event.
The festival gathered young people aged between 3 and 18 years 34 of countries to showcase their creativity in categories such as painting, Photos, sculpture and decorative art. The objectives of the festival focused on raising awareness of the protection and sustainability of cultural and natural diversity through art, honoring young talents regardless of background.Young people proposed by the Alumnus Club from the smallest participant of 3 years up to 16 or, guided by teacher Elena Stoica, they were invited and awarded, here, UNESCO.

“Youth and museums” is an international conference organized in recent years 16 years in Romania or Europe with the aim of raising awareness among young people about cultural heritage and the participation of museums in the formation of the young generation. This year we met again at the Casa Romantei museum at the edition no. 16 on the occasion of the Romance Festival “Golden chrysanthemum”from Targoviste.

Year 2025 will bring us the celebration of a quarter of a century through educational activities, scientific and cultural and many more, many partnerships between us and other international clubs or federations. Because I am a medical student, I proposed first aid lessons in isolated villages in Romania and an international conference on telemedicine together with my colleagues from the Republic of Moldova from Chisinau.

We will develop youth partnerships with Tunisia, Greece, France, Moldova to name a few of them.
I said present through the Romanian Federation and at the First Global Youth Forum of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO to be held in Almaty (Kazakhstan) on 19 and 20 February 2025. In a word, 2025 you will find us active, with a new site and more.

Secretary General of the French Commission, dl. Alexandre Navarro, in his closing speech he appreciated the special collaboration he has and had with the Romanian Federation and the European Federation, hoping for a fruitful collaboration in the future.

Tuesday 29 November 2024, at the UNESCO headquarters, under the auspices of the European Federation of UNESCO Associations and Clubs, the drawing exhibition of Mrs. Marcella Tuttobene was inaugurated, the president of the Enna UNESCO Club, Italy.

The exhibition was organized with the help of the UNESCO Community Association, whose president is Mrs. Marietta Banchev.

We were impressed by the large number of participants from clubs in Italy, to whom we thank for this special involvement.

Mrs. Daniela Popescu, president of the Alumnus Club, took part in this event. On this occasion she announced that the year 2025 it's the year our club celebrates 25 of years of activity and will be happy to sign a partnership with the Club for UNESCO in Catania.

The Alumnus Club Association organized, on 31 august, within the ASTRA Museum, an art therapy workshop, dedicated to children from the I-VIII school in Arpașu de Jos, Sibiu county, alongside the performance and exhibition of the children participating in the Pic2Drama project.

The Pic2Drama project, financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN), it was a novel initiative to bring theater and painting together, through some workshops that were held within SOS Children's Villages Cisnădie, an institution that provides parental support to children, running programs dedicated to young people in the protection system, but also educational programs.

The project included 10 theater workshops conducted by a theater arts mentor, Daniel Lungu, and 10 painting workshops supported by an integrative psychotherapist, Felicia Acsinte. Thematically interconnected, the workshops revealed to the children the role of art in the process of emotional development, self-knowledge and communication.

The activities were carried out simultaneously, in such a way that, the group of children who participated in the theater workshop, the final, to put on a short show, together with the young people who participated in the painting workshops, activities designed to reflect children's results. The final event was hosted by the ASTRA Museum in Sibiu, accompanied by an art therapy workshop, dedicated to children from the I-VIII school in Arpașu de Jos, Sibiu county.

The need for this program was based on the importance of cultural education in early childhood, which is a critical period of development for children. Creating and talking about art facilitates the exchange of ideas and opinions for children, strengthening their self-confidence and shaping their identity.

"Connecting with young people, who have gone through or are going through adverse experiences, it is achieved through the process that art therapy involves. Thanks to techniques close to painting, drawings, modeling, masks, each participant activates his creative potential, with the aim of exploring and better understanding their emotions and feelings. Art itself as a tool, allows you to connect with both group members, dar, especially, with his own self" declared Felicia Acsinte, integrative psychotherapist.

WHAT IS ALUMNUS ?

Alumnus Club is an organization created in the year 2000, that gathers for more than a decade and a half members from 10 countries.

Through its UNESCO affiliation, the Alumnus Club has access to an important network of information regarding the activities developed in domains such as education, science, culture and communication.

The main purpose of the organization is that of training young people in a multicultural manner, through projects that aim at involving them in activities that encourage their personal initiative and experience gaining.

In 20 years of activity, Alumnus Club has offered its members and the participants in its events the occasion to engage in educational, scientific, cultural and communication projects.

Below, you may find a non exhaustive list of annual events: Metamorphoses, Youth and Museums, Art and Civilization in Monastic Spaces, Magellan and the new project developed under the auspices of the Alliance of Civilizations: Bucharest retrieved, the concerts of the National Chamber Choir Madrigal.

ALUMNUS Club was founded in 2000 and consists of young people across the 10 countries.

The Alumnus Club is part of the Romanian Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO.

The club wants to offer its members opportunities to become involved in educational projects, Scientific, cultural and communication.

ALUMNUS Club aims to prepare young people in a multicultural spirit and to involve them in activities that help them in personal and professional development.
