On 01.04.2022, The Club for UNESCO in Piraeus and the Islands and the Alumnus Club for UNESCO organized under the patronage of the European Federation of Associations and Clubs for UNESCO a round table on the occasion of the opening of the virtual exhibition dedicated to International Women's Day, event in which the artists whose works were present in the exhibition took part online.
The event enjoyed a large international participation. Representatives from Italy, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Greece and Romania prepared and presented artistic works dedicated to women.
The discussions held during the round table, in addition to the artists' emotional statements about the works presented, they mentioned social achievements, women's policies and economic conditions, but also the fight against discrimination and violence.
Romania was represented by the "Alumnus Club" organizations, "Ancestral Roots", "Citadel of Romance", „Elite Art Club”.
Alumnus Club for UNESCO was represented by Eliza Vasilescu, student at Tudor Vianu college with the work "Attitude reflection” which suggests equality between women, whatever the age, culture and race.
The project had in mind the support of cultural education among young people, educating the public unfamiliar with UNESCO's activities, in order to develop the capacity for socialization and international collaboration.
