United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture ( UNESCO ) is a specialized agency of the United Nations system. The headquarters is located in Fontenoy,in the 7th district of Paris Administrative, France. Constitutive act created by UNESCO was signed in London, on 16 November 1945 by 37 Tari.
The main objective of UNESCO is to contribute to peace and security in the world, strengthening through education, science ,culture and communication cooperation between nations of the world, providing a greater appreciation in accordance with universal principles of justice and human rights, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion,as stated in the Charter of the United Nations.
Today, 21 partners to join this network, knowing that coordinates the Association's members, UNESCO Clubs and Centres for each country. Federatia Roman a Asociatiilor, Centres and Clubs for UNESCO is a national branch FEACU.
In 2010 decided to establish a protocol for long term partnership between the Romanian Federation of Associations, UNESCO Clubs and Centres ,represented by the President,Mrs. Daniela Popescu and city Tergnier, represented by primary, Christian Crohem.
It should be recalled that Romania's EU integration has allowed the establishment of European intercultural exchanges very solid and durable, knowledge based on cultural values, traditions and events or contemporary artists of each country.
